Video 8: Tracking and Recording Weather and Climate

Students tap into the use of technology to understand and predict the weather and learn to apply math skills to decode weather maps found in newspapers and online. This video shows how NOAA and NASA study weather and climate with supercomputers and satellites.

"Making Weather in Class" reviews the six types of weather you and your students can make in class, helping introduce students to key science principles behind real-world weather.

"Research to the Rescue" provides examples of how new technologies can be used to make weather forecasts more accurate, timely, and localized.
