2.3 ADAPTATION

Is it a bird... a mammal... or something in between?

Why is one penguin pecking a dummy? ...And this one sitting quietly on an egg?

And who ever heard of a snow-white penguin? Does survival of the fittest mean that the biggest and the strongest always win?

In this video we'll consider natural selection, adaptation, fitness and other key concepts of evolutionary science by looking at different bird species.

We'll look at how body and behavior affect survival... and see why aggressiveness may sometimes be a desirable trait.
