“Student Correspondents” Two different groups of high school students, with teachers closely connected to PTK and LFRF, will be making actual, real world, field trips to the Amazon and Costa Rica around the time of the “electronic” field trips. Millbrook School in New York state (Tom Lovejoy’s old school) is off to the Peruvian Amazon, and Summit High School (where PTK consultant and Guide contributing author Marty Stickle teaches biology) will be in Costa Rica: expect images and Journals from students physically experiencing the rainforest—helping to make their fellow students’ “virtual” field trips that much more real!
