Uses scenes from previous PASSPORT TO KNOWLEDGE projects, with comments from teacher and student participants, to show the power of the integrated video, hands-on and online components

3) Hands-On Activities: demonstrations by Master Teachers (Begins at 06:06)

* Activity 2.3 The Tropical Rainforest Food Web Game (06:14-10:20, r.t. 04:06) Eileen Bendixsen shows how she implements the Activity in class, provides helpful suggestions, and students speak about their experiences playing the Sun, sloths and Harpy eagle.
* Activity 3.3.1 Penciling in the Carbon Cycle (10:31-13:41, r.t. 03:01) Middle school teacher Pat Haddon shows how carefully burning a pencil can introduce the carbon cycle.
* Activity 3.3.2 Comparing Dry Ice and Water Ice (13:41-16:28, r.t. 2:47) Differences in the behavior of carbon dioxide and water.
* Activity 3.3.3 The Breath of Plants and the Life of the Planet (16:28-22:20, r.t. 05:42) Pat Haddon shows how the classic Elodea lab illuminates aspects of the rainforest.
* Activity 2.1 Sneaker Species (22:20-25:32, r.t. 03:12) High school biology teacher Marty Stickle demonstrates how making a dichotomous key using student footwear provides a memorable way to introduce taxonomic classification.
