YEP!! at 51 we'd be FREEZING!!! My parents are in Cape COd right now and I'll bet my mom is freezing. Anyway, several people remarked how the moon looked like Mars because it was really red. We noticed how the shadow actually wavered. It could be atmospheric or ???? It could be what's really happening. We don't know!!! What we do know is that we had around 50 children ages 3-High School with parents and everyone was wowed and dazzled with the eclipse. I was wowed and dazzled, and sad 'cos I'm too old to go the the moon.(Renee) Our star count wasn't great because it was so early here that it truly wasn't dark enough to see stars until the very end. (ended here around 9:30). One disadvantage to living in the west...I'll post my results of the star count tomorrow. I'm truly too tired and full of awe to concentrate on something as mundane as adding and dividing etc. We're really glad you got to see through clouds. We had a huge rain storm with flood last night and worried about what weather we would have tonight. News just started...comment about color of moon. Red out of town, orange in town due to lighting. Tucson has lots of low pressure sodium lights due to our many observatories...We were right in downtown and it was very RED>>>interesting.-------- Renee Crawley Email:craw3900@spacelink.msfc.nasa.gov
