Do you think the Great Dark Spot could be the same kind of weather
disturbances as the spot in 1994?

ANSWER from Heidi Hammel on May 1, 1996:
Based on the pictures we have gotten from the Hubble Space Telescope,
with think that the big disturbances we saw in 1994 are definitely related
to the Great Dark Spots.  However, the number and brightness of the 
bright clouds in 1994 was bigger and more wide-spread than was seen by
the Voyager spacecraft in 1989.  That leads us to think that maybe the
storm system in 1994 was larger or somewhat unusual.  We will know better
after studying Neptune for several more years with Hubble.
